Three Rivers Hotel & Spa, Carmarthen
Local area & attractions
Ferryside grew from the now non-operational ferry crossing on the river Tywi, on the ancient pilgrims route to St David's Cathedral. It is uncommercialised, peaceful and quiet; the ideal getaway for a perfect weekend (or longer) break. It is also, due to its' proximity to Carmarthen, Llanelli and other centres, an ideal corporate meeting place.
Kidwelly, with its' Norman castle, industrial heritage museum, Pembrey Country Park and Motorsport centre, within approximately 10 minutes travelling time. The National Botanical Gardens, Laugharne (famous for Dylan Thomas' Boathouse) and many Pembrokeshire attractions are about a half hour drive.

| Ffos Las Racecourse - Trimsaran |
|
| |
|
|
 |
Ffos Las racecourse is one of only three racecourses in Wales, and is indeed the first National Hunt course to be completed in Britain for over 80 years. The 600 acre complex is situated near Trimsaran, in west Wales, on what used to be the largest open cast mining site in Europe. An area which now has been completely transformed. Surrounding the complex is the beautiful Welsh countryside with excellent beaches and leisure facilities within easy reach.
The all-weather, oval track is one mile and four furlongs in length, in line with Jockey Club specifications, and will host both National Hunt and Flat racing meetings. The track is overlooked by a single enclosure which can hold up to 15,000 people, and there is also a 1,000-seater covered grandstand. In addition to this the complex will offer ample stabling along with administrative buildings, technical buildings, accomodation, bar and excellent catering facilities.

The Garden of Wales is the first national botanic garden to be created in the United Kingdom for over 200 years. It is also an exciting new institution for Wales which aims to heighten visitors' awareness and understanding of the natural and manmade world. It is a place of international significance dedicated to conservation, horticulture, science, education, leisure and the arts.
As a landmark Millennium project, the Garden of Wales links the history of the last millennium with the present. It is set in the former 18th century regency park of Middleton Hall in Carmarthenshire, a 568 acre estate on the edge of the Tywi valley. The Garden enjoys a pollution free environment, spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and a rich cultural heritage.
